What began in Zurich in 1993 with messenger bags made from discarded truck tarps now comprises some 60 models. FREITAG products are robust, functional everyday companions which, thanks to repair and exchange services, can expect an even longer, more fulfilling life.

Stang is a Dutch graphic artist. In addition to art, he also works for various clients, such as the Albert Heijn supermarket, the Kunsthal Rotterdam and the Donner Rotterdam bookstore.

“I’ve always been fascinated by simple symbols and logos you see everywhere — on the street, a fire extinguisher, a traffic sign, or even a speedboat. People sometimes ask, ‘What are you taking a picture of now?’ With my work, I like to tell a story in one simple image — often with a little humor and a wink.”
